10 farmers found eligible for insurance under Rythu Bhima

Nalgonda: In all, families of 10 farmers, who died after August 15, were found to be eligible for the farmers’ insurance scheme and their details were uploaded by the officials.A woman farmer, Regatte Parvathamma (55), a native of Thelekantigudem of Kanagal mandal in Nalgonda district, died on August 14 night and was eligible for the insurance scheme. Though she was the first beneficiary of the scheme in the district, the nominee-her son, did not get the insurance amount as there was a technical glitch while transferring the insurance amount to her bank account. Her family was to get Rs 5 lakh insurance amount on Monday.


Speaking to Telangana Today, Nagaiah’s son, who was nominated by Parvathamma for insurance benefits, said that the money going to his family due to the farmers’ insurance scheme would be of big help to his family. The widow, Parvathamma, had two sons and two daughters.


“However, the officials contacted me and got the details of another back account of mine to transfer the amount, which will be credited on Monday,” he said.


Other farmers who died since the launch of the scheme include Kasthuri Narsamma (56), a native of Nandipadu in Miryalaguda town (August 18), a woman farmer Kurra Sujatha (29), a native of Yellapuram thanda of Tirumalgiri (Sagar) mandal (August 17), Gollaboina Saidaiah (49), a resident of Adavidevulapally in Nalgonda district (August 17), Dundigala Pedda Anjaiah (52), a native of Yadgiripally village of Miryalaguda mandal (August 17), Pedddaboina Venkataiah (59), a native of Bodraipalem of Thripuraram mandal in Nalgonda district (August 17), Ganta Yadaiah (45), a native of Chiddepally of Chandur mandal (August 19), Gonula Yellaiah (45), Bandam Srinu (46) of Suryapet district and Miryala Yellaiah, a native of Ramannagudem village of Athmakur (S) mandal of Suryapet district (August 15).


The details of all these farmers have been uploaded and sent to the LIC for settlement. Authorities said they expect the nominees to get the insurance amount within two to three days.
